Ground breaking and construction has begun on Hartwell Village, the new shopping complex and mixed use community coming to Oconee County across the lake from Clemson. The project developer, Casto, has announced several tenants bound for the new area. Retailers include; 5 Below, Michaels, Rack Room Shoes, Ulta Beauty, and Marshalls. The new site plan also includes a Tru by Hilton hotel. The nearly 350,000 square feet of retail shops and eateries, located adjacent to NewSpring Church’s Clemson campus on the 123 corridor, is the first large-scale development in the plans for that area of the county. Hartwell Village is scheduled to open in early 2018.
